The department deals with both science and clinical aspects in medicinal chemistry, natural products, drug discovery, structural biology, molecular biology, analytical chemistry, computational chemistry, target bio assays, chemical toxicology and others. The department is involved in the research work on the design and synthesis of chemical entities such as anti cancer, anti- leishmanial, broad spectrum anti- malarial anti- tuberculosis, anti -hypertensive, anti- inflammatory and anti- diabetic compounds.
